Business secretary to visit Jaguar Land Rover as shutdown extended by a week
Minister voices concerns over supply chain amid pause in car production caused by JLR cyber-attack
The business secretary, Peter Kyle, will visit Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to meet companies in the supply chain as the carmaker extended its shutdown into October after a cyber-attack.
JLR, the UK’s largest carmaker, has extended its pause in production until 1 October, having a knock-on impact to the companies that supply it. Last week, the company said production was frozen until at least Wednesday.
