The Commanders tried out two other veteran WRs before signing Robbie Chosen to the p-squad: River Cracraft, who was on their training camp roster for a couple of weeks, and Willie Snead.

The Dolphins are expected to sign WR Cedrick Wilson off the Saints practice squad, per sources.
Wilson has tied to Washington’s staff and the WR depth need is clear. Not sure if Commanders were actually interested but Wilson is signing to the Dolphins 53 and Robbie Chosen is…

Idea here is to get the line to slide to Armstrong so the RB (or TE in this case) has to stay in and protect leaving 4 eligibles running routes. That TE then has to block Luvu rushing from the other side, so 6 blockers vs 4 rushers and still get a good matchup. Nice design https://t.co/erS4VZanYx

Play worked too. Was 3rd&4, got a good rush matchup while playing zone behind it. Covered all 4 options, Penix had to scramble. Sometimes a good call does everything right and a QB can scramble, causing you to lose the down anyway.

For anyone that says “SHOULD NEVER DROP A DE INTO COVERAGE!” Go watch just about any of Bobby Wagner’s sacks while here in Washington, including his 2 last week vs Raiders. Always drop a DE, rush Wagner from other side and he either comes free or runs over a RB in pass pro.
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 30, 2025
Just for numbers sake because people are freaking out, Dorance has dropped into coverage 4 times all year. For comparisons sake, TJ Watt did it 33 times last year.
I cant believe people dont understand how normal this is and how every team/DE does it

Hell of a rep from Javon Kinlaw here. Trap scheme from the Falcons. Kinlaw bursts upfield off the snap but quickly recognizes both LT and LG leave him free. He immediately locates trap from TE and blows it up pic.twitter.com/5xmRqKFDxR

Loved this play from TE Ben Sinnott. End-around to Deebo, Sinnott sifts back across the line and initially blocks the guy Jaylin Lane misses. Runs him over, then carries on to pick up a 2nd block after. Nice patience from Deebo too pic.twitter.com/l9YXcGCr06

#Commanders’ defensive ranks so far this year:
– 25th in EPA per play
– 28th in dropback EPA
– 28th in passing YPG
– 32nd in time to throw#RaiseHailpic.twitter.com/KbkefDF1Zg— SleeperCommanders (@SleeperWSH) September 30, 2025
Every loss leads to “this team is too old!” talk. here’s a look:
Washington has 16 players age 30+. Of those, 5 are full-time (McLaurin, Wagner, Tunsil, Wylie, Ertz) while two others play (Von Miller, Eddie Goldman).
On D: 3 players are 30+. One starter.

Almost every draft pick the last two years is playing. Not all are ready. They def need more of the 26-28 year olds that were lost during prior regime drafts. Always felt needed another strong draft in 2026 to feel better about the roster. Yes some look older then their age

“Do defenses pick on these O-line deficiencies and replacement players?”
“100 out of 100 times, defenses will find the lame duck… they’ll find the replacement or the injured player.”@cfrelund and @RealLoganRyan go behind the scenes on NFL defenses 👇🧠 https://t.co/anG9y01NL6pic.twitter.com/IQXu7lQu9F

New DVOA commentary is here. Seattle Seahawks remain No. 1 followed by the Lions and Rams. How are the 4-0 Eagles only 12th in DVOA with ratings lower than last season?https://t.co/S4UOLC88e2

Very sad to report the death of local hoops standout Lawrence Moten. Moten was born in DC and played at @ACHSWashDC High before becoming leading scorer at @Cuse_MBB He played 1 year at @WashWizards@nbcwashingtonpic.twitter.com/noJpmQaM4i
— Mark Segraves (@SegravesNBC4) September 30, 2025
We lost Lawrence Moten today. He was a @Cuse_MBB and a @BIGEASTMBB legend.
Moten was a darn good football player, as well.
