CBS Sports mock draft links Auburn’s Keldric Faulk to AFC East team
Auburn EDGE rusher Keldric Faulk is receiving positive NFL draft buzz as he prepares for the next step in his playing career.
The latest NFL mock draft from CBS Sports pairs Faulk with the New York Jets at No. 7 overall. Josh Edwards of CBS Sports believes that the Jets will go after the best player on the board, and Faulk could be that guy at No. 7.
The Jets’ roster should be viewed as a clean slate. If an edge rusher is the best player available, then New York is going to take that player. Keldric Faulk is a long, young prospect who will help set the tone for Aaron Glenn’s defense.
Faulk took a step back in terms of stats this season by posting 29 tackles with two sacks. However, he showed off his pass-defending skills by breaking up four passes. Faulk is a true junior, which means that he will have the chance to return to Auburn’s roster in 2026 under new head coach Alex Golesh. However, if his draft stock is this high, he may want to consider turning pro. If that’s the case, Faulk will end his Auburn career with 110 tackles, 10 sacks, and six pass deflections.
Faulk is projected to be the first SEC player taken in the 2026 NFL draft, according to CBS Sports’ latest mock draft. Several notable SEC players with first-round stock include Tennessee cornerback Jermond McCoy, Georgia linebacker CJ Allen, and Alabama guard Kaden Proctor.
