Iowa women’s basketball to host several recruits this weekend

The Iowa women’s basketball program is expected to host several recruits this weekend on official and unofficial visits, the Register has learned.

A few recruits visited last weekend, as reported by Register columnist Chad Leistikow. They included Sienna Williams, who was on an official visit, Logan Miller, Kinsley Ketterhagen and Bridget Fitzgerald.

Official visits

Jada Seubert, a 5-star 2027 recruit according to the 247Sports composite and the only confirmed commit to Jan Jensen’s squad for next season, will be in town on an official visit.

The Wisconsin native is the top-ranked player in the state, and ranked 45th overall nationally.

Khalia Hartwell, a 2027 center from South Carolina, is another 5-star recruit who has narrowed her top schools down to three choices, according to 247Sports. In addition to the Hawkeyes, Georgia and Virginia Tech are also in the mix for the 21st-ranked recruit in the nation.

Unofficial visits

• Quinn Sowder is a 2030 guard from Indiana who received an offer from the Hawkeyes in July, according to her social media. She also has posted about Division I offers from several schools, including Louisville, Iowa State, UCF, Miami, Maryland and Wisconsin.
• Jaycie Helmer is a 2030 point guard/power forward from Minnesota who received an offer from Iowa in July, according to her social media.
• Maddie Hamiel is a 2029 combo guard from Minnesota who is ranked as the No. 2 player in the class of 2029 according to Prep Girls Hoops. She received an offer from Iowa in July, according to her social media.
• Janille Arrey is a 2029 small forward/power forward from Minnesota.
• Kelli Kalb is a 2028 shooting guard/small forward from Johnston, Iowa, with Division I offers from a few programs, including Northwestern, Colorado State, Creighton and Utah, according to Prep Girls Hoops.
• Braylyn Birmingham is a 2028 combo guard from Norwalk, Iowa, with offers from Division I schools including Wisconsin, Northwestern, Utah and Virginia Tech, according to her social media.
• Sadie McCann is a 2028 combo guard from Waukee Northwest (Iowa).
• Grace McCann is a 2029 point guard/shooting guard from Waukee Northwest (Iowa).
