Volleyball: Lady Pirates remain undefeated at 6-0

Greensburg traveled to Rushville Tuesday in search of a sixth straight win to open the 2026 season. The Lady Pirates topped the Lady Lions in three sets 25-13, 25-7, 25-9 to move to 6-0.

Greensburg’s net attack was led by Roma Robbins and Claire Larrison with nine kills each. Victoria Stier and Audra Gehl both finished with six kills. Makenna Ripperger had five kills and setter Ali Wells added three kills.

Wells dished out a team-high 31 assists in the game. Kirkley Lowe added two assists. Emma Herbert and Stier both had one assist.

Wells also led the Lady Pirates with four aces. Lauren Powers served three aces. Larrison had two aces and Kiera Kennelly finished with one ace.

Defensively, Larrison had two blocks. Robbins, Wells, Ripperger and Gehl all added one block.

Lowe tallied a team-high eight digs. Wells had six digs. Stoer, Powers and Kennelly all picked up five digs. Carly Greiwe added two digs. Robbins and Rippeger both had one dig.

South Decatur

After their first loss of the season, the Lady Cougars pounced on visiting South Dearborn 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 to get back in the win column.

South Decatur had a big night serving the ball. Dalilah Martin served seven aces and Taylor Somers added six aces.

On the attack, South’s hitting was led by Liz Bennett with 10 followed by Riley Benge six and Somers three. Raegan Benge set the offense with 12 assists.

Defensively, Laney Seegers led the Lady Cougars with 11 digs. Martin added eight digs and Raegan Benge had six digs. Somers and Riley Benge both had two solo blocks.

Tuesday, the Lady Cougars hosted Morristown in a battle of one-loss teams. South knocked the Lady Jackets from that list with a 24-26, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23 win.

Defensively, Laney Seegers finished with a team-high 16 digs. Dalilah Martin was next with 10 digs. Liz Bennett tallied seven digs, and Raegan Benge had five digs. Riley Benge added a pair of solo blocks. Taylor Somers had one solo block.

Raegan Benge finished with a team-high five aces and 26 assists. Martin added a pair of aces. Riley Benge dished out three assists. South’s attack was led by Riley Benge with 14 kills. Somers chipped in with 10 kills. Bennett had nine kills. Martin and Kennedy Sundal both had five kills.

North Decatur

The Lady Chargers traveled to Osgood to take on the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles in volleyball action Tuesday. North needed the minimum three sets to post the win 25-18, 255-19, 25-22. North improves to 6-5 on the season.

For North, Miley Scudder tallied a team-high 22 kills, team-high four aces, 10 digs and one assist. Lanee Rennekamp dished out a team-high 38 assists to go with four digs, two aces and one kill. Eliza Kennely finished with a team-high 11 digs and one assist.

Brynlee Green had one block, three digs, one ace and eight kills. Sarah Moeller contributed 10 kills, one ace, one block, six digs and one assist. Avery Weisenbach put down two kills. Claire Trenkamp and Ellie Johnson both added one kill. Johnson also chipped in with three digs and one assist. Sara Litmer added one dig and three aces.

Batesville

After four exciting, tight sets, the host Lady Bulldogs picked up the 4-set win 25-22, 21-25, 30-28, 27-25 against EIAC foe Lawrenceburg.
